COIDA

Businesses that engage one or more employees must be registered with South Africa's Compensation Fund in terms of the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) – previously known as workman's compensation.

Once registered, returns of earnings statements must be submitted, tariffs paid and processes implemented to ensure that only COIDA-registered contractors are hired. Failure to comply results in penalties and/ or criminal charges.

LouwCooperRasool maintains an in-depth understanding of COIDA at all times and we are expert at helping our clients to achieve and maintain compliance.
